Texas Christian University got its start as the Add-Ran Male and Female College. It was first founded in Thorp Spring before moving its campus to Waco; after a fire at the Waco campus, the school settled in Fort Worth. Coincidentally, TCU’s time located in Waco set the groundwork for the Revivalry – aka TCU’s long-standing rivalry with Baylor University.
